Welcome to my website! My name is Zyprr, I'm here to show my art to the world. I'll be showing you my planning, sketches, progress, final pieces, and more. I'm excited for an upcoming project I have planned and will be sharing my development. So far it is inspired by J.C. Leyendecker's art style.

His art was prominent in the 1930's, when he developed his signature style, and was used in commercial advertisement.

I really appreciate Leyendecker's style of bold and colorful brush strokes.

I want to imitate these pronounced lines and the distinct shading, using predominately darker shades of color rather than black.

I also want to capture some of the motion and expression in my piece as he did in these two pieces, especially in body language.

I choose Leyendecker as inspiration because of the illustrative quality of his pieces which I hope to capture in my own piece.

Here is a brainstorming page for possible themes, imagery and symbolism for my piece.

And this is some basic idea sketching and picture clippings for inspiration.

I really like the inspiration you're taking and how it intertwines with the concept. I also like the symbolism and aesthetic of the piece, its very "you" and I cannot wait to see the thumbnail sketches for this.

I really want you to go with the idea of censorship because of how much it pertains to you. Making a piece about your experiences with censorship could bring a fresh perspective on the topic and help you really work through/express all the emotions that you feel about this topic. The choice of inspiration especially suits this topic because of the time period of these pieces. Pieces of this style and from this time period showed an idealized world while hiding the more unpleasant or grimy parts of everyday life. All in all I am VERY exited to see where you go with this concept and I think it will be a great addition to your portfolio.

It's nice how you're interpreting elements of your artist's style into your own piece in order to enhance your design. A halloween idea is something I can tell you're going to be very proud and excited to implement into a large project! I do want to hear more about your actual concept and how it will tie into the ideas you've chosen, though.

In my personal opinion I think your idea should be narrowed down a bit.I know it's hard to create a solid idea for your piece, however, I feel like you have multiple general ideas and just need more detail to the concept.

Alright, you know how much I love J.C. Leyendecker, so I am, of course, very excited to see how this project develops. His style is something. very unique and recognizable, so I think it will be interesting to see how you interpret it and change it to fit with your own. I really enjoy the concept behind your thesis project and how it applies to your own life in some ways. I cannot wait to see how it turns out. Godspeed!
