THIS IS LATE

I feels like there hasn't been much time in between this post and my last but I suppose that's how its supposed to feel when you have a time limit. Well merry Christmas, my gift to you is my two-thirds process check :) There is pain behind that smile, mainly because my two-thirds feels like a lie! I didn't get as far as I wanted to in this segment of my process.

The changes from the last post are hard to notice. I mainly did slight changes in color like in the yellow wall with some shading. I also added the ghost's basic outline which was nice since it made me feel like I was actually creating more for my peice.
Unsurprisingly, as I've foretold in an earlier post, I got caught up in perfecting colors. I also decided to expand upon my piece a bit by adding some more panels which will undoubtedly take more time but I plan to finish them over break (Haaaaaaa, thats funny). But the new plan is to make more little, and less detailed, scenes on the extra panels. This way I will be able to focus on the main character more and diversify the composition even further, since I really just don't want one panel for some reason. Though, this might not happen if I don't have enough done. I have also decided to decorate the scene more with Halloween decorations and vibes. Which means more detail and more time *sweats*.

During our critiques I was given lots of advice on how I should arrange the canvas to create the best composition and also some comments on the proportions of my main panel. I've noticed that the stairs may be a bit too big compared to the rest of the house and the people so I have decided to repaint them *sweats again*. I got lots of compliments on my color scheme which makes me happy since I've worked very hard on it and I intended it to be one of the highlights.
Overall I'm very excited about this piece, but I'm also ready for it to be done. The time crunch is real. Since the last post I've found some more inspiration from other artists like Hannah Web who goes by The Obanoth her style is very graphic and blocky. Her style relies on color difference to make outlines. I wanted to utilize this style in my smaller panels since I don't want them to be too distracting and detailed compared to the bigger panel.
